Safeguarding Commitment
Beyond the Streets is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
All workshops are delivered in line with recognised safeguarding guidance including:
• Keeping Children Safe in Education
• Working Together to Safeguard Children
• Prevent Duty (Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015)
Sessions are delivered in partnership with schools, with staff present at all times. Any safeguarding concerns raised during workshops are immediately referred to the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead in accordance with school safeguarding procedures.
Safeguarding Workshops
Half-day safeguarding enrichment workshops designed for secondary schools and colleges.
Sessions explore:
• grooming and exploitation
• violence and knife crime prevention
• gang recruitment and coercion
• substance misuse awareness
• peer pressure and decision making
Each workshop is delivered through structured discussions, real-life scenarios and reflective learning activities that encourage students to think critically about risk and understand that there is always another choice.
