Safeguarding Commitment
Another Choice UK is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
All programmes are delivered in line with recognised safeguarding guidance, including:

Our programmes are delivered in partnership with schools, with school staff present throughout each session. All Another Choice UK staff hold an enhanced DBS check.
Any safeguarding concerns or disclosures arising during a programme are immediately reported to the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and managed in accordance with the school's safeguarding procedures.
Preventative Safeguarding & Early Intervention
Another Choice UK uses preventative safeguarding education to help young people recognise risk before situations escalate.
Our sessions create space for honest, age-appropriate conversations about the pressures and situations young people may encounter, helping them understand how exploitation, coercion and harmful influence can develop and giving them the confidence and language to seek help.
Sessions may explore areas including:

online influence and digital risk

unsafe or controlling relationships

serious youth violence and personal safety

recognising when something does not feel right

trusted adults, support and help-seeking
Content is adapted according to the age, needs and circumstances of the group. County lines, gang involvement and knife crime can be included where relevant, but they do not define the programme.
Delivery is interactive, trauma-informed and discussion-based, encouraging young people to think critically, reflect on situations and understand that there is always another choice.
